CSLB Disclosure Form

The Solar Energy System Supporting Information form was developed jointly by the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB) and the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) under Business and Professions Code §7169(c). It is a consumer protection disclosure that solar contractors must provide to homeowners when selling or installing residential solar systems. The form gives consumers detailed information about system installation, financing terms, potential energy savings, and transferability. It was created to ensure transparency, prevent deceptive sales practices, and help customers make informed decisions before signing solar contracts. Contractors are required to use this standardized form to comply with state law and CPUC/CSLB regulations promoting accuracy and fairness in California’s solar market. Review the form below:

Steps for Each Financier:

Everbright

1. Begin sales process on the Everbright platform.
2. On the usage page, select interval data. Select the appropriate utility company. If your customer’s Utility does not provide interval data, select they don’t have any and fill out the reason why in the provided box. Upload your customer’s interval csv/xslx file.
3. Complete the design, quoting, and contract as normal.
4. Complete the necessary CSLB Disclosure Form fields on the agreement.

Goodleap

1. Complete design and pricing on the Empower Aurora account.
2. The new form will be automatically attached to the Goodleap Agreement.
3. Complete the necessary CSLB Disclosure Form fields on the agreement.

Lightreach

1. Complete design and pricing on the Empower Aurora account.
2. Complete Lightreach Agreement.
3. Go back to Aurora and go to the Agreements section. This is found on the Bottom left of the proposal page.
4. Select the “CSLB Disclosure Form” template and hit send.
5. Upload completed Disclosure Form to Jobflo.

Loan & Cash

1. Complete design and pricing on the Empower Aurora account.
2. Go back to Aurora and go to the Agreements section. This is found on the Bottom left of the proposal page.
3. Select the “CSLB Disclosure Form” and Cash/Loan template for your appropriate state and hit send.
4. Upload completed Disclosure Form to Jobflo.

Sunrun

1. Begin sales process on the Sunrun platform.
2. Complete the new Utility API integration prior to signing agreements.
3. Request the agreement.
4. The new CSLB form will be filled out and automatically attached to the Sunrun Agreement.
